Full load between lifts/shifts: about 9-10 seconds full throttle in 4th (redline shift from 3rd to redline shift to 5th). About 17-18 seconds full throttle in 5th per lap at my local track.

time between braking and throttle is time wasted not accelerating.
The problem with the video is that it was indoors so it's very hard to work out when its open. It is quieter with the muffler. But i just want to tie it in with out a muffler now. If you see my other thread you'll see what i mean.

Porsche Motorsport had a wastegate dump on their 934 efforts, however that was a fully developed race car with the rulse stretched to the limit and obviously the saw merit not to restrict it.
The most likely reason that it was tied in on the 944 cup cars was to keep them as much stock as possible aka race on weekends sell on weekdays . I watched them in action in the 80's when they used to open F1 races and to be frank they hardly looked or sounded like true race cars, you took the decals off and hardly anyone could tell the difference between stock and Cup unless you dug in, a far cry from the various 911 efforts which almost looked grotesc in regards to the stock cars.

Although the exhaust has no mufflers or anything as it's a straight pipe. so if it was dumped, it wouldn't make a difference

Pauly, for what you want the car for, where you drive, and your age, I would tie the gate in. That noise is likely to get you in more trouble than it's worth.

I really never liked it. It was really cool to have people tell me fire was coming out of it at night... but thats where it ends.
Does it lower back pressure? Sure. The same way that shaving your all of your body hair makes you a faster swimmer, the same way that keeping your chest pinned to the gas tank of the motorcycle gives you better fuel mileage...catch my drift?

Pauly. If I get around to it this year....and if crap weather ever ends I will be putting my car on a dyno to see the difference between my dump to atmosphere and tie back in.
Will be hopefully getting M-tune also. Lots of costs with new house first though.

When i do it, i'll get my maf voltage and compair it and see if there's any difference. And also, if by boost drops, i know i've gained back pressure.
