Post Starting Problems

I have an 86 951 and I have been driving it for about a week now. I parked it last Friday nite and went to start it Sat. morn.It would not start. It turns over just fine, it just doesn't fire. I have fuel, I have spark, but the little critter won't fire.It coughs and sometimes sounds as if it will start, but it doesn't.When it does cough and sputter a bit clouds off gas rich smelling smoke puff out of the exhaust.I put new plugs in because the others were fouled out from trying to start it.It has been raining for the past 20 out of 22 days, but I ruled out wires because I have spark. What else could I check before buying dynamite.
Thanks. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Did you pressure test your fuel rail? If the pressure is to high the injectors won't fire. You can disconnect one injector and if it starts then your FPR might be bad.

I have fuel though. Or should I say that the plugs are coming out covered with fuel.Is possible that the injectors are leaking so much that the car can't start because of too much fuel?
Thanks,
