Post ok yet another concern

here we go at idle i often hear what sounds like a exhuast leak from the drivers side. This comes on for about 3 seconds and goes away and returns in about 3 seconds. Any ideas would a exhuast leak not be constant and not intermitent?

Does your RPMs change in sync with the exhaust leak sound? Could be the idle-stabilizer. All the hoses under the intake-manifold are suspect with age. The hose-clamps are cheap non-adjustable clamp-on units. With age, the hoses shrink and harden and no longer seals. If you can spin a hose on the idle-stabilizer or the vacuum venturi-Y, then replace that hose and use some real hose-clamps.
