I would not use this product. It is better to use the drain in the oil pan as it will remove the crap that accumulates in the pan; sludge e.t.c.. With this system you cannot remove the crap and it will reduce the engines life.

It may be better to go to a garage and have them change the oil. Get them to flush the oil system as well. It's amazing the crap that comes out.

They use this type of pump all the time in boats, there is no room to place a pan in the bilge. They seem to do fine, and boat engines take a lot a abuse.

The concern I have with the vacuum product is that you never loosen the oil drain plug - I wonder if it would get seized as a result. Might be a nice headache to leave the next owner of the car...

The question is ....do you have an air compressor to run it? Possibly the "porsche" air pump would work if you have one. May want to check and see how much psi is required.Ed

I've used it - makes it very easy to change fluids, especially tranny etc.

Toolwarehouse http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/MIT-7201.html has these for $56 - very well made, and no need for a compressor - has a built in pump to create vacumn or pressure modes.
