Default Bursch Test Pipe Installation

I bought a used but 'good condition' Bursch test pipe from a guy on the other forum. He also gave me the wastegate downpipe from his car because it had the later flange on the testpipe end so that it would bolt up easier. When I tried to bolt it up and realized it was twisted I emailed him and he informed me the car had been in an accident but he thought the pipe was ok... nice. I took it to an exhaust shop and they straightened it out on the pipe bender and got it fitting up ok for $100.

But now i'm getting some rattling/vibration under acceleration and turning left. It's not hitting anywhere but the flange that connects the wastegate pipe to the test pipe is about 1/2" from the edge of the tunnel. It could be coming from there.

Also, the exhaust shop thinks it's the flange that connects to the wastegate itself by where the flange extends up to the torque tube and touches the torque tube. Where does that upper hole bolt to? When I removed the stock pipe the upper bolt hole on the wastegate exhaust flange wasn't bolted to anything. Is it supposed to be open or does it bolt to the torque tube somewhere?

Thanks

Look at where the down pipe section passes by the caster block mount on the body. The test pipes like to rub against that body flange.

Do you have the stock WG mounting bracket on the torque tube? The WG dump flange can be bolted thru to that bracket.

Could you try to explain that better? Is that near where the triangle shaped flange connects from the downpipe to the test pipe??

I'm not sure if it's there or not. There is a bracket right near there on the torque tube but it's got bolts in it already. Are you supposed to use an existing bolt or is that a bolt of it's own that's supposed to be threaded into something?
