just been lurking here in the shadows...my first post.
The transmission is out of the car for a rebuild. I was considering a changeover from the stock 8:27 (3.375) pinion to the 9:35 (3.889). The part is suppossedly NOT the stock S or S2 pinion but rather the one used in the Euro 951s.
Does anybody have any experience with this conversion?
I have Autothority DME+KLR chips.

I don't have any experience with it, but I love the idea. You'd probably be better off buying a whole ROW gearbox rather than just the ring and pinion. I contacted some breakers listed in 'Porsche & 911 World' in the UK and they quoted something like $1,500 US for a ROW LSD non S box. I never did find out how much shipping would be.
For another data point, I bought a US 944 na ring and pinion for something like $550 back in 1998. I'd imagine a 951 ROW R&P would be a fair amount more than this.
Windward's website seems to recommend this upgrade... not surprising since they are selling it.
