disasterman, what didn't you like about the Texas Performance Concepts stuff? I have their oil pan, VSS kit and new motor mounts. I'm using the Quicktime bell housing, so no adapter needed...

Ditto-TPC/Eric is a class act and doesn't deserve to be mentioned with RH.
When I saw the RH parts pictured early in this thread I pointed out the short comings and that they were not suited for a purpose built track/race car, sorry you learned the hard way. As you can see there is a loyal community to these conversion who are willing to share info you just need to ask.

I'm sorry you had to find out the hard way. I will follow up with that statement and say I'm glad they were there to show me how easy it can be done. Without them, the clutch bell adapter set up for most wouldn't be as easy.
I got the opportunity to see a few kits. They weren't awful, and showed signs of decent thought. But I saw plenty enough for me to know that was not the direction I was going to take. It was clear I was going to have to modify the kit so much that I might as well just make my own.
Moving the engine rearward was easy since I was not limited by all the stock wires, hoses and brake system. It also was absolutely necessary to get that thing to fit under the sharp slant of the 968 hood. Other advantages are obvious as well. I moved back around 4" which requires quite a bit of driveshaft / torque tube effort. But a 2" shift rearward doesn't need any driveshaft / torquetube modification and still makes a large difference in hood clearance.
I don't suggest lowering it in the car as I have. It's just not feasible in any budget for money or time.

In regard to TP parts, I am referring specifically to the front cross brace and the bump steer kit. The cross member looks like it was made in china and the drop links should never go on race car, they poor quality. Those are the only parts I know of from TP. I have no other experience good or bad with TP.

Hmm I don't have either of those parts. Oddly enough I have pretty much all of the other conversion parts they make, which are high quality and I haven't had any issue with them after a complete time trial season.

I was LESS than happy with the BS kit as well, and less than impressed by the differences between what was portrayed on his site vs what was delivered, not helping with that was the reply of "here is the link to buy the adjustment bushings yourself"... as the rod ends didnt come with the adjustment bushings... I realize these are little bit gripes, but this wasn't the first parts I had purchased from him... although they might be the last.. as for his FG skills... top notch!

A little photo update. front end is nearly complete, air box for cowl induction is next followed by brake master then K brace.
Note a box brace between the trumpets, radiator mount/oil cooler mount. All header panel, bumper cover are quick release. The hood has been relieved of it's center brace and a some ventilation has been added.

Wow, that's great work. So much room in there. Makes me think of an intercooler for a couple of turbos??

Just a nice LS6 crate with 406 at the crank. One of my favorite bits is that we modified the hose mounts so that we only need short straight sections of hose, no OEM funny bending stuff.
