Post Rear cam housing cork gasket

My rear cam housing gasket has started seeping again. I already replaced it once about 2 years ago. Can I use silicone sealant in place of the cork gasket to eliminate this problem once and for all?
Thanks,
Tom

Before anything, try re-tightening it. When mine started to leak it was because 1 of the bolts had backed completely out!

Yeah, it's a low-torque on those bolt and without a locking washer, it backs off easily. Try a little blue Loctite on there too.
