Hello everyone. Just joined and am looking into possibly buying a 944 t after i sell my g60. Only thing that im not too sure about is the rear on the 944's. I have spotted this white 944 around town several times and it looks sweet, esp with 9'' wide bbs wheels. So please post pics/or link to any know you know of... also an estimate of the price would be nice . btw how much should i expect to pay for a 89 944 t with decent mileage? Thanks for the help

gt racing sells wide body parts for 944's and 951's (944 turbo). wide body fenders and quarter panels cost around 500 and the same parts in carbon fiber cost around 650.

The parts on my car are from GT Racing. Parts, labor, paint etc. about $7K.

89t with decent mileage - you can't afford it
86-88 (non S) go from 5k to 10k+ generally speaking.
You can fit 9" easliy under the stock fenders. From the factory these cars came with 8" rear.
Figure with $200 in minimal mods (chips and banjo bolt/shim)about 250-260 hp easily on a normal 86-88 turbo.

Sounds like you had about $3K to work with. If you can do a lot of the work yourself you might be in the ball park. Of course if you are with the Cincinnati Bungals you wouldn't know what a ball park is for. I hate paying for that

At any rate, check with GT about prices on parts and what a package might cost. Then look around for a friend or friend of a friend who might help guide you in installing the parts. You could save a lot of money and maybe end up with what you want. May just take longer.

Here's a shot I got a couple weekends ago at a PCA event near my home. New Orleans region member's Rothman's livery, 951 with Gt racing widebody fiberglass front and rear.
In 45 minutes timed race this car stayed on the lead lap with two Kelly Moss Motorsport 911's..![](http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/Rothmans.jpg)

Here are some pics of one of our race cars. It is a 944 Turbo with wide body fenders and quarters which was still to narrow so we added 968 TRS flairs to those and a 968 wide body rear bumper and race 951 front bumper. Nothing was an easy fit. Lots of trimming and such. It is about 9" wider than stock. We are running 18"/14" rears with 18"/12" fronts. ![](http://www.archcartpro.com/users/dkhajavi/images/p5110016.jpg)

The car weight is 1800# dry. Has 32 gal fuel cell next to the driver (firewalled), Rear radiator, rear tranny cooler rear twin oil coolers, rear mounted dry sump oil tank, 3.2 ltr 16V 4cyl turbo motor w/dry sump oiling, No tourqe tube just a carbon fiber driveshaft, what is left of the original chassis before the cage/tube frame weighed 300#. Lots of fun
