Thanks in advance for all your help. This is a great site. My 86 951 is cutting out after warming up to normal op temp at around 2200rpm during cruise no real load it just quits. After maybe 5 seconds it starts up again. It will idle forever with no problem. Changed plugs,ign wires,coil,throttle position switch,that fixed cold idle but still same problem. Last test run I wiggled the dme box and I think that fixed it temp. If it is the dme box is there a trick to open up those little metal tabs on the cover?

Your airbox is probaby defective. That is the exact problem I had. Replaced everything but the airbox.
When the Airbox was the only think left I dropped a new one in and the problem was solved.
