Post 3" Track Exhaust

Does anyone have or know of anyone who has a complete 3" exhaust available for a 951? I have seen some custom made stainless exhausts, but they seemed incredibly expensive at around $1600. Can the local Meineke make up a system? It's a DE car, so I'm looking for a complete system that eliminates even the need for a cat test pipe.

I have heard many on this list tell about the exhaust systems they have made locally. Hopefully you will get some feedback on this topic and save a few bucks. Its not magic, its just metal :-)

Take Care!

For certain a reasonably talented exhaust guy can make a kick@ss 3" custom exhaust for lots less than $1600. Like maybe $300-$500 . Get someone who can build it inplace using sections of mandrel bends (U-bends) tacked together then they remove it from the car and and finish weld. It won't be polished stainless for $300 bucks, but it will work well (if done well).

The only problem with the local pipe bender's is the flange... But you can make then craft by a metal shop. The total cost of mine is 400$ CAN. 3" polish

You can use any 3" header flange. Available at local speed shops for $5. Then just slot two of the holes to fit the Porsche downpipe and that's it! Gives a larger selection of gaskets as well...

If you weld a low carbon steel flange to a 304/321 pipe you might want to ask which weld wire the person will use. Hope the person says 309 which is a 22 Cr. 12 Ni grade.
