I think my car is at about 350 rwhp at 18 psi. I'd have to check and I'm out of town for the weekend.

I meant how much power do you expect at 17 -18 psi of boost?

With normal performance chips (Weltmeister and like), stock injectors, higher fuel pressure, you will see around 300hp at the rear wheels. If you have an EFI (Tec, SDS, Link should help also)and larger injectors you will see around 350rwhp. The added 50hp comes from the ability to massage the timing and fuel. With a larger intercooler you might see an additional 10-20rwhp. By that time you will have invested $10k-$15k in your engine!

If you do a lot of the work yourself you can get 375 rwhp for 6-7k with a Tec3.

How do you get $15K? Oh, I forgot, you took the car to BodyMotion the first time.

More like 270-275 max. Even ditching the AFM is only getting to, what, 280-285? I don't think Danno/Travis ever cracked 300 rwhp with the Guru MAP kit and chips.

Not sure what Danno and Travis has accomplished but did 309rwhp on a Dynojet dyno with:

Weltmeister chips
Stock injectors
Stock AFM
Stock intake and IC
Scott Gomes Turbo
Weldon Fuel pump and regulator
18psi boost

I have the dyno charts but it appears the upload system is down. I can post it later. This is merely to tell you what is possible, I do not suggest running your car with this setup as it a powder keg. I had to run fuel pressure at 55psi (73psi under full boost) in order to get enough fuel at 6500rpm. I ran my car at 3 track days with this configuration and it was very fast.

95Racer,

Unless you plan to upgrade the injectors now, I would have opted for bigger injectors up front. Those stock injectors are straining as hard as my bladder against my 56 year old prostrate I assume you know what your duty cycle is and what the AF curve looks like.

I'm surprised the stock airbox let you have enough air for that kind of power, not to mention the injectors as Alan C. did. Did the torque curve look nice and flat or did it drop abruptly upon peaking?? What about the boost curve - if you run that much boost on a stock turbo, it drop very quickly as you approach redline. Interesting though - I'd like to see the dyno....

You will see from the Dyno chart that I was running the engine very rich until the injectors started maxing out around 5k rpms. As they approached 100% duty the air fuel came into the correct range. This is NOT the correct way to tune an engine, but back then, the only choice I had. Basically I tuned the engine with fuel pressure. I did many dyno runs to get this just right. The reason I did this is because I did not want to invest in interim products when I knew that I would be doing stand alone this winter. I could not run the correct injectors because of the stock electronics. So, it was not the optimum setup but it lasted the rest of the season. In fact, my last day at Pocono I made it through an entire day in the instructor group and never got passed once

Btw, this winter I did:

Electromotive Tec3
Knife edged and lightened crank
6lb flywheel (lightened stock)
4 puck racing clutch
83lb injectors
Massive Intercooler
I also lightened the car down to ~2350lbs

It will probably do around 400rwhp at 18lbs of boost but I will most likely run the car at 380rwhp
