These cars are surprisingly tame in stock form, they're geared long and with proper tires it is fairly predictable. You really need to be trying to get the car to misbehave. I was somewhat disappointed by how civil the car is to drive everyday.

I have another project for you and your son: get those ugly side moldings off! Car looks much cleaner without those things on there. I don't even know why they're there, it's not like you'll get a dent...

Any fun options like HUD or Z51? Took me MONTHS to find a car with both of those, in white.

Just need to find some longer studs for the hot side of the turbo and I'll be ready to slap that in (Dave Lindsey sent new studs after the rebuild, but I'm uncomfortable with how short they are - only one would reach the nut's "locking" ring).

Nice job on the Vette - those are a bunch of fun. My brother bought a new Z06 in '01 and did the museum delivery thing in Bowling Green. I was able to watch him pick up the car via live webcam... pretty cool all the way back in '01. That seems like the stone ages now when you're talking about webcam stuff! He's had several 4th gen F-Body cars and the one Corvette... all very fun cars, but I wouldn't want one as old as these 951's. His '03 Z28 interior was in pretty sad shape when he sold it a couple of years ago, and he never abused anything. It was replaced with a white G8 GT... another pretty cool muscle car that was short lived in the history books.

If it was going to be mine...she'd get a set of rear gears in a hurry. It is geared verrrry looooonnng.

I didn't realize those side moldings were anything other than stock. And the passenger side has a bunch of nicks with touch up. Good thing they have been on there! The car has a lot of touch up/scratches/scuffs but is mechanically sound and looks really great from 10 feet!

The car has the following options:

Memory Package
Power Passenger Seat
Body Side Moldings
Dual Zone Air Conditioning
Selective Real Time Damping
Active Handling System (will help keep him safe...if "on")
6-Speed Manual Transmission
Telescopic Steering, Power
Fog Lamps
Bose Speaker Package
Front License Plate Frame (in the trunk!)

I don't know if it has the sport seats..wouldn't know the difference?

glad your coming along...I typically have kept up with your thread!

Phlip already has the car torn down and I'm glad we decided to go into the oil filter housing as well...more leaks over there.

When I get the car back together it'll be nice not having to wipe oil off the back of the car

I'll need to recover from the the 951 expenses and the Vette so I can do Rogue's M Tune with injectors!!!!

No...the Texas Motorplex (1/4 mile), North Texas Dragway, Redline, Texas Raceway, Dallas Raceway PLUS the world famous Yellow Belly (has to be experienced to be believed!)

I'd love to go to the mile... can I tow the ZX-14 behind the Turbo?

Agreed!

It would be nice to see what a modified 951 would get in the mile. I trap 111mph in the 1/4 at 15lbs... Either way, we need to get this planned!
