Post Oil filter Torque

The specs state to torque the oil filter to 14 ft/lbs...That seems like a lot, all I could get was 10 ft/lb with a strap wrench.

I just put a paint stripe across the top of the filter as a reference and turn it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn after the gasket makes initial contact.
no leaks or blown gaskets so far.

Thats how I always did other cars, this was the first car I found that actually had a torque spec.
