Question Danno - question about Yamabond

Danno - I remember you posted awhile ago about using Yamabond on your engine. What do you use to clean it up with - acetone? Do the parts come apart fairly easy?

Thanks,

The Yamabond doesn't stick super tight like a lot of silicones. It will come off metal and gaskets with medium-tackiness like a vinyl sticker on glass. It's still soft and pliable when removed, so you can usually re-install parts without needing a fresh layer.

Of course, the application will depend upon the location. Yamabond-4 is the only stuff I've found that can seal the cam-tower cap at the rear. I fought that stupid cork gasket for months and finally settled on Yamabond with no gasket (it was after all, designed to seal motorcycle engine-cases that don't use gaskets).
