lol, 155K im guessing the first owner didnt tell the second about it. Wonder why? Your car likely has closer to 200k

When was the last time your T belt was changed

Most probably an odometer cut off. That is a felony in most states and not to be taken lightly. You may want to contact the authorities.

Considering it will only cause the current owner of the car considerable trouble and resale inconvenience i would say take it out and go on with life.

Yeah I agree, I'm the only one that will have to deal with the consequenses. Previous owner I doubt knew about it, but ya never know. Timing belt only has about 10k miles or so, but that is at least three years ago as I have owned the car for the past two and a half years, only about 2k miles though..

Once I get my led's reinstalled and its not 100 degrees here I am going to take the car out and see what it does, but my money is on odometer disconnect.

its mystery is exceeded only by its power.

be careful flicking the switch doesn't divide by zero, though.

Flick the switch then take the car up to 88 mph... better have a video camera rolling or nobody will believe you when you tell them you drove through a corn field and crashed into a barn!
