Modifications:
  • Greddy Profec B-Spec Type S Electronic Boost Controller
  • Guru Racing Performance chips mapped for 18PSI
  • Tial 38mm Wastegate
  • Rising Rate Fuel pressure regulator
  • SFR Fuel rail mounted pressure gauge
  • SFR Fuel Lines
  • SFR 2-piece Cross-Over
  • SFR 3” Down pipe
  • SFR 3” Test pipe
  • SFR 3” Cat-Back exhaust with Borla XR-1 Muffler and 4” oval tip

  • Front Coil-over suspension with 200# springs
  • A-pillar mounted boost and A/F ratio gauges
  • Water and oil temperate gauges mounted below radio
  • 17” Turbo Twist replica wheels with Porsche Center caps

The good:
  • Covered and Garaged since 2003
  • No oil consumption
  • very clean interior; only 1 small dash crack by the A/C vent
  • Starts and drives every time

Since purchasing the car, it has undergone normal maintenance including Water pump, Timing belt, etc. Oil changes are done using only Mobile 1, 15W50 synthetic oil. The car does not use any oil or water. The car pulls as strong as ever.

The bad:
  • The car does not have Air Conditioning.
  • The car will likely need new motor mounts in the near future.
  • Rock chips on nose panel
  • Damage on rear quarter panels from previous owner
  • It has a slight oil leak, which is likely the rear-main seal

The car is stored in Parrish, FL and appointments can be made to see the car. If I have strong interest in the Orlando area, I can bring the car to Orlando to show - just know I don't have a garage in Orlando, so it would be sitting in the elements while in Orlando.

PM me if you have any questions on the car, or for more information / pictures.

1987+ had a 180 mph speedo. Why the 160 mph speedo?

If I'm not mistaken the later speedo appeared midway through the 1987 model-year.

I'm pretty sure all 87 and up had the 180 but I could be mistaken.

I always thought it was an option for the 180, but I could be wrong as well.

Don't sell your car for one freaking dime less than 8500.00
It's worth more IMHO.

Every 87 944 Turbo I have seen for sale with a clear picture of the speedo showed 180 mph. (Except the car for sale in this thread)

Mine doesn't. Late 87 year cars would have started to incorporate the S speedos. The first S cars hit this country in late 87. Some would have had them. It depends on when it was built.

i was led to believe the S cars and 89 cars only had 180 I have an 87 and im pretty sure its a 160.

8500 is an excellent price and i would stick to it.

Beginning of the summer or late spring is the ideal time to sell theses cars so your hitting it at the wrong time.
