I'm in Tyrone just south of the airport. I have an 88' 951 that is somewhat of a daily driver, and I am building a track toy.

That's awesome, I thought there were a good many 951s but not this many. We should try to meet at a Coffee and cars or crash the varsity thing and hang out with the ricers . Its also a good mix of 2.5 and 3 liter cars. If I am not mistaken I think there are a few more people from alpharetta/john's creek on RL, but I might be wrong.

I've got a black 86 951 and live in Athens, GA. A meet would be cool. I've seen a few other 951's at Road Atlanta during events, but I'm not if they are rennlisters

Bump for an awesome thread. If you guys still want go meet up and all get together some time. I'll be glad to help organize a small meet.

I'm totally new to this area (Just moved to Athens from Orlando FL last month) so I'm not too familiar with Atlanta and what would work good for everyone but I've got some good experience putting together 944 meets back in Orlando.

I did a mini 944 meetup here in Athens a few weeks back and got 4 951's and another 2 944 n/a's to all meet up. It was simple but successful and fun. I posted a pic below.

I did get the chance to meet some of you guys at the Mille event last year. You may recall that I drove my "green goblin" 951 up from Orlando and broke a timing belt on the way. It was great of Josh B to offer his help and it was fantastic to meet many of you guys. At that time I had no idea I'd be moving up to GA just a few months later.

So... shall we dance?

Haha, glad to see this thread get bumped. I would like to meet up at some point. Atlanta seems to have a good 951 group.

Atlanta has a great group of 944/951 owners. We get together at times, usually when Josh B has a car he needs to part out. A bunch of us just went to the Concors event at the Porsche Dealer in Alpharetta a few weekends ago, it a was a good time.

Josh, the mountain run sounds like a fun idea. I have a cousin moving into town here on the 28th so I'll have to see if he needs my assistance for the day or not. So I'll have to get back to you on that.

But either way, what are some of the details? Do you know of a good meetup location & time? And approx. how long is the round trip? I'll start spreading the word along to the Athens guys if we get something solid.
