You need to measure the seat track width of the 97 seats center to center. If the track width is the same on the 944, you might have to elongate some mounting back bolt holes. The seat track may be longer so you have to adjust how far back one or two holes for the front mount bolts. Make sure the front mount holes will align and measure back to the rear holes on the new seats. If there is an alignment pin on the new seats it will have to be cut / ground off. I hope this helps.
