Question Will turbo S struts fit on an 86 944 turbo?

Do turbo S struts fit on a 86 944 turbo without modifications? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

yes...but you need a coil over conversion or a turbo s spring and perch assembly to make ti all work.

Yup, they'll fit if you get the entire strut assembly. That's the lower strut-housing along with the springs and upper-perch as well. It's a complete matched set.

I thought that the spindles are different for 87-89? I thought that because of the different offsets between years 86 and late models that I would need the hubs as well?

I am getting the complete assembly but without the lower perch where could I find thenm?

"I thought that the spindles are different for 87-89?"

The spindles are different on the hub/bearing side with a thicker axle & bearings. But on the strut side, the strut-clamp is still the same.

And the difference in offsets is create by a longer A-arm on the later cars.

If you want to run the factory spring, you'll need the factory lower spring perch...I believe they're somewhere around $50 or so. Your other option is to convert to a 2.5" I.D. spring. A lower perch for this setup will run $25 ea.
