Lindsey crankcase breather Fumes?
Anyone who installed a lindsey breather on their 944 turbo get any gas fumes from the install? I installed one along with lindsey fuel lines and i has a gas fume smell. Not sure if its the lines ( the joints are burined behind the wheel well liner) or just some venting from the crankcase. Of course i drive the car hard for a test ride after the install.
thanks

No fuel smells should be coming from a crank case breather... you should probably check your fuel lines very carefully. I plan to leave my fender liner out until after a test drive or two to inspect those fuel line connections as well as the oil cooler connections that I also replaced.

This is normal, you are smelling the crankcase fumes because they are being routed into your HVAC system - the Lindsey can is not the one you want unless you recirculate it back into the intake tract - do a search here there are caps you can buy to do this - or just sell the damn thing all it is is an open can.

One of my friends wrecked his 951. He has a lindsey catch can he never installed. And is willing to part with it for 50$. Is it worth having this on your car? Does it help anything?
