Wondering if anyone has a dino sheet of a stock car running JUST guru chips with stock turbo, stock injectors, and stock AFM.

Hey we're wondering about that too! How about we offer a $100 discount off our chip-upgrade kit to anyone who wants to provide a before & after dyno comparison?

I would take you up on that Danno if I could just finish getting my car together .... correctly

Right now the only mod I have is the APE chips and the banjo bolt.

Will the original Porsche 1986 chips work in my 87? I have a friend with an 86 who just recently put the APE chips in so he still has the original stuff.

Ok, I guess I didn't make the offer specific enough. Let's break it up into three prizes then:

1. GURU chips vs. bone-stock '86-88 non-S 951
2. GURU chips vs. bone-stock '88+ TurboS 951
3. GURU chips vs. AutoThority Stg.2 chips

I would like to make the comparison#3 with kit-vs-kit across the board comparison. That is, the AutoThority Stg.2 with their chips and banjo-bolt. Our kit with the stock banjo-bolt re-installed, our 3-bar FPR, wastegate-shims and chips.

Also interesting would be a 3rd run in the comparison with our race-gas/high-octane ignition-map selected as well.

Alright, I comb through the responses to see who fits into what category...

Danno, I might be interested in this offer. I have a solid stock 951S; 100K, 145-150 compression across board, recently dealer inspected/tuned, stock cat, passed emmisions testing. I am thinking of installing Stage 1 MAP kit this winter once I am sure car is solid and fully tuned. Currently only issues I am aware of are rattle in turbo downpipe and unidentified non-stock muffler (very quiet; may be adding back pressure.)

I might be persuaded to do stock versus Guru chip only now and add rest of MAP kit later. Would I have to do FPR and ball valve with chip, or could I run stock equipment for comparison?

Any Vancouver listers know of a suitable local dyno facility?

Danno,

I'm definitely interested. I have a bone stock '87 with 125k miles, and have been planning on getting the stage 1 next summer after I had a chance to save up some cash. I have been on the fence about getting the chip to tide me over and this would put me over to the chip side.

Let me know.
