Hello, I'm a new 951 owner (86 Stage II AutoThority, Koni's). I need to rebuild my left ball joint. The best rebuild kit from SSI only will sell both sides for $175. Does anyone have a set they would like to sell. If so, e-mail me mensa38@email.com. BTW, I also own an M-B 560SEL, and a Lexus SC400 !

So you just want a kit for the 1 side? You should really do both at the same time. The other side can't be far behind if it's original. Anyway, I'm readying a kit using OEM style nylon. It's in testing right now. If all goes well, it'll be ready about the end of OCT. If you can wait, I'll sell just 1 side.

The SSI joints are well worth it. You can knock out both sides in an hour if you really take your time.
When I replaced mine, the stock nylon inserts came out in several peices. No wonder they had slop!

That's good to know... my SSI replacments are sitting on the end-table waiting for me to order a PS rack/pump (I'm just going to do them all at once). Keeps sounding like an easier and easier job the more I read about it.
