Actually, 2 hours south -Barcelona. The Red/Black combination looks great. It's interesting that the version for the Swedish market has a 3rd tail light. Mine does not. I will probably be upgrading to C2T wheels, but the 7.5" fronts are hard to find in originals.

What VIN is that car? Mine is a Swiss car, VIN: WPOZZZ95ZMN130209. AFAIK, there were 527 built, of which 100 were RHD for the U.K., 250 stayed in Germany, and the remaining 177 were RoW cars.

Nice to hear from you!

Thumbs up

Wow, that car is fabulous! I never really wanted an S2 cab, but i could certainly enjoy a turbo cab! Never even knew such a thing existed til now. I'd always imagined that someone somewhere fab'd one up. I'd love to have one as a second 944. That would be fun and would keep some miles off the other!! Guess none of them were brought over here, aye?

Next time I see the car I will get the VIN!
C2 wheels is a nice and clean upgrade.

Yes the third brake light is very rare. But it looks good does it not?

The 951 cab is a real classic and we have decided that the car should stay within our family "for good".
It is as good as new with only 24000 km or 14900 miles on the odometer. The upgrades are chips and wastegate shims and we (my father) have decided to keep it as original as possible besides that.

I've got one of the RHD ones.

Mine is black with black interior. A friend of mine also has a RHD drive one , also black but with a grey interior.

Is that rear center stop light standard - I've never seem one before.

Maybe someone should set up a register to keep track of how many of this model survive - any volunters???

This thread needs to be retitled "Lets brag about our cars and make everyone else VERY jealous"... lol

Seriously, I am drooling here... maybe I should find a junked 968 cab and stuff my 951 guts into it!

Regards, ...Scott

And this is #624 of 527

Where do you got the number 527 from ? I've read somewhere else about 528. I know that Porsche starts counting their production cars from 061. According to other sources, they built 564 cars (061 to 625).

So does anybody know the correct number ?

I'm curious about the wheels. Were those the factory stock wheels for the Turbo S Cabriolet? What are the wheel/tire sizes? Those rims are different than the ones on my 951S coupe, where the spokes on the rear rim are convex inward rather than convex outward in your photo.

Do you have the forged rims on your 951S ? They look similar - but the later 90/91 951 had aluminum casting rims. And these are shown in the picture. They are called here "Euro-Style" - also used on the S2.
Size of the front-rim is different to the forged version. 7.5x16 and 9x16 with 225/50 and 245/45 tires.

I believe all the USA 951S models had forged rims, 7x16 and 9x16, with 225/50 and 245/45 tires as standard. The USA 944 S2 models used 7x16 and 8x16, I believe, and came with 205/55 and 225/50 tires.

You're right. Same for Europe. I think the official name for the new rims was "Design 90". On the S2 it was 7Jx16 & 8Jx16 with 205/55ZR16 and
225/50ZR16. The 951 was continued in Europe in 90 and 91 with the (cheaper) Design 90 rims in 7.5 & 9x16 as standard. Same for coupe and cab.
