Over boost with EBC....

Ok, well before with a leaky wastegate and leaky headers I could only manage .9 bar of boost, so after welded headers, a new tial 35mm, and a lot of help (thank to Jim from Eurowerks my car is actally running otherwise it would still be in the garage). Anyway after all that I got it dialed in a 1.2 bar of boost and had some time on the dyno to try and dial it in. It took an email from danno and some numbers to try to get it running right.
To make a long story short (too late) I am now overboosting and the EBC is opening the wastegate all the way. I switched the settings to the one that should prevent overboost, but no luck...
Could it be that my stepping motors are fried? or is there somewhere else I should be looking?
TIA...

It could be the stepping motors in the EBC, but I've never seen one go ever. AFAIK, if the stepping motor goes in an external wastegate setup, basically no air will flow through to the control port, so boost would be regulated by wastegate spring completely (no overboost).
The other possibility is a bad hose to the pressure port on the wastegate. There's 2 hoses that goes to the wastegate, one is the hose that sends a pressure signal to the wastegate, the other one is the one that goes to the EBC solenoid, then to the control port of the wastegate.
Check the hose that sends a pressure signal to the wastegate. I've melted a few of these, from the middle part to where the clamp holds the hose in. Any damage to this hose would result in overboost. I've since converted all the hoses to braided lines, and have not had any boost troubles after that.
Hope that helps.

I had it custom made at a local hose shop. Costs about $120cdn for the entire set. It consisted of the hose from the pipe before the throttle body, connected to a T splitter, another hose going down to the wastegate from the T (see picture), a short hose going to the EBC solenoid, and the hose from the solenoid to the control port of the wastegate.
