Take the wastegate off.
- Remove the short section between wastegate and crossover.
- unclamp dump-pipe from exhaust (leave connected to wastegate)
- reach up to unbolt wastegate bracket at torque-tube with long extensions and wobbles from rear of car aimed forwards
- remove wastegate from car
- remove allen bolts
- pry upwards on diaphragm and insert shims
- depending up on wastegate model/configuration, you may need two longer allen bolts (the two that hold the bracket)
Reinstall in reverse order...

more like 2 hours if you've never removed the wastegate.
* if no studs break.
most likely if the car hasn't been run at 19 psi for like 15 years than the studs will be fine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> . Bt there's that crappy possibility. Take it slow and easy.

I've done two in place (without removing the wastegate from the car). First one took an hour. The second (a friend's car) less than 30 minutes including removing the underpanels.
Spray the crap out of the bolts with the penetrant of your choice. Let soak. Insert good, fresh, quality allen key (Bondhus ball head) turn with 12 mm box on the short end off the L-shaped key. Voila, bolts loose.
