Question Turbo Service Manuals on CD

Does anyone have these shop manuals on CD that are sold on Ebay all the time? Just wondering if they are worth getting. I see them going for between 25 and 50 bux a lot. They say they are .pdf forms of the 7 volume Porsche factory manuals. What do you think?

I have the actual turbo supplement manual and then all the manuals on CD. I prefer the paper copy, but went with the CD for the rest of the set. I was a bit disappointed in the manuals, kinda use to a good ole USA Chilton's manual.

For me, it's more a question of cost (7 times cheaper), portability (carrying a CD is easier and I can study particular jobs at lunch in the office) and dirty paper (you just re-print).

I hope the workshop manual "scans" on the CD are of high quality - I confess I've just bought one via ebay and am looking forward to receiving it. For US40 (inc. shipping to Switzerland) vs. US$300 or so for the 7 volume set, I guess I can't go wrong.

Regards,

Gary.

I have the 944 turbo manuals on CD. They are great. If you want them on paper you can print them but I think it is 2000 pages. I also know of a guy who is selling his 944 manuals but I am not sure how much. All of these are Porsche original manuals. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

You can bet it's going to be more than the CD for sure! I think a copy of the CD with all the manuals (7) is on ebay at the moment if anyone's interested. Obviously, this is *not* a Porsche "original" like the printed manuals though ...

Ebay was shutting auctions down for selling the CD's.
