Question Question about possible turbo for my 951

Hi,

I have a 86 944 turbo. I am looking to build the car to run easily 1.1 + bar I want to upgrade the turbo to the turbo s, but I am considering to use a k28/#8. I know the car will be sluggish off boost but I looking for good flow as I do not want to upgrade in the future after i get the stage 3 head and turn up the boost. I know the tranny will only safely support 350 rwhp but as far as drivability is anyone running a setup similar to this.

you can run 1.1 bar with a 26/6

I suggest SFR (TT's) stage 2 / 3 garrets. That's my plan.

I second the Garret. The folks at Turbo Engineering Corp. can build you a bolt-on big/fat Garret that probably won't have the
lag/all high-end issues you're talking about.
And all for about $850.00. Pretty neat.

Yep,
Ask for Jim or Jason. The 370 hp(37lbs/min @ 70% efficiency) with a 2.75" inlet is $805.00. Pretty freakin' cool.

Yeah, KKK are pretty ancient stone-age technology (HKS, IHI are awesome). But ifyou want to stay with KKK, Majestic Turbo can make you any combination you want. Or even rebuild and modify your stock ones (cheaper). But the TEC is a great deal. Just wish they had the Garrett dual-ball-bearing models...

We are running our level one (the same as the other tuners stage two) garret turbo on special now for 849. The best part, you can tell us what hoptside you want and you can also customize the compressor trim at no extra charge! This turbo will support 400HP at the tires on a properly set up car!
