Air bags
What is the life of these air bags? Are they still reliable and how can we check to see if they still work without doing any front end collision testing? If I can get evidence that they are no longer useful I will be able to by the steering wheel I always wanted and not feel bad about ditching the air bags.

I did a similar post a while back asking if folks to speak up if they had had an incident where the airbags deployed. I dont think there was anyone who knew of the airbags deploying.
Having seen the crater in the windscreen left by the head of a local 944S2 driver I guess he didnt have airbags. He did have a 4 point harness though - I guess it pays to tighten those things up properly.
