Tranny Fluid?
I'm thinking about changing my own transmission fluid on my 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo manual transmission with 49,xxx miles. Can anyone recommend what type of fluid I should I (synthetic or natural oil)? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

If your car has the limited slip differential (can't remember if 86s had it) go with Red Line MT-90. Without LSD, go with Red Line MTL.
I used MT-90 in my 89 951, after speaking with Red Line tech support, and all the LSD chatter that my car had dissappeared within 100 miles. Engaging second gear is still a bit notchy in the winter when cold. It's okay when the fluid warms up.
You'll need three bottles, but will use about 2 and a half. I had someone do it for me and the labor was about $30. It's an easy job but can be very messy.
