Weird Noise
Everytime I'm cornering to the right easy or hard, I keep hearing a rubbling noise. I have replaced the struts, springs, A-arms, Upper perch, front wheel bearing. But none of this has cured the noise. Any suggestion as to what could be making that noise? Could it be the steering rack, or maybe I need an alignment. Any advice would be thankful.

Hmmm... have you seen any shiny rubbing wear spots anywhere?
What size/offset wheels and tires are you running? The plastic fender liner can come loose in front of the tire. Then when you turn the wheel, the outside edge of the tire will reach forward and rub it.

partialy a bump...
My 86 951 track car does the same. Makes a humming/rubbing sound on any turn to the right. The sound starts just off center. I could not find anything from the tires/ fenders that was rubbing. I did notice a sway bar was rubbing on a bolt from the oil pump (dry sump system) on the right hand side. Other than that... still trying to track it down.
I have all new bearings and am not sure of the wheel offsets. I know I have spindles from an 89 and charley arms.

A friend of mine recently posted this in the forum for his S2. He is going to check his CV joints for wear.... possibly re-pack if not replace. Doug944s2 is his user name(posted 7-10-02)...... maybe he can give an update if this is a similar problem?
