Fellow Brit here. I noticed your car stats and want the same thing with mine, so hoping you could advise me.
Looking for dual port wastgate/chips/boost control.
What companies wastgate do you use. Is it relaible cost etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Whats the car like after the mods you made.
Cheers Rich951

Hey Rich,

Nice to hear from a fellow Brit on the board. Feeling pretty depressed today as found out that somebody stole my bosses modified 993 Cabriolet last night off his driveway. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />

Anyway, most of the stuff on my car was done before I bought it. I had the new wastegate fitted as the old one was shot. It is basically a modified standard unit which has been split apart and had a stiffer spring and new seat and stuff fitted. It was supplied and fitted by Jaz Porsche in Wembley (020 8903 1118) ask for Steve and say Stanley recommended you call them! who are very good. Dont know how it compares to the dual port jobs but I was very pleased with the results: more boost, less lag and better response.

The other item I fitted was a bolt on air filter from Porscheshop. It basically replaces the standard airbox and did make the car slightly more responsive - and it makes a nice whistle too!

Sorry I cant be more help but I do know that the mechanics who have driven my car have all said its very nice to drive and is very quick

I'm sure the other guys on here have much faster cars and more knowledge than me but it depends how far you want to go - I personally dont want the expense and headaches of a new ECU, ignition system etc. as I dont have the time or ability to trace faults and service the car, etc.

Sorry for the long post, hope this helps. If you want to know anything else just email me or reply here...
