Post 951 running too rich...

I've got a freind who's got a really spooky problem, this is the scenario:

He's got a '85 951 (europe), no catalytic converter. The car has been original until about a year ago when he chipped (cup specification) the car. The stock wastegate was also modified and he drove the car with 15,6 psi of boost. The gas consumption was normal. During the summer (last) the headgasket blow and he did not drive any more last year. He "stored" the car in the garage during the winter and made som modifications, the modifications were o-ringed head, kkk26/27, progressive FPR and a A/F meter. And when he started the car this season the car went very well but it runs way too rich, the A/F meter maxes out. The sparkplugs gets too "wet" from all gasoline so that they brake after a while...it consumes great amounts of gas...TOO MUCH! We have tried everything?, even replaced the prog FPR with the original 2,7 bar FPR but the car still runs too tich. Why does the car consume so much gas, we are talking 2-2,5 litre per 10 km...I think that's about 10 miles per gallon gas.

Anyone?
