Default Best MBC

What is the best MBC to run? Does everyone just get a lindsey MBC or is there a better solution. I have a LBE right now haven't put it in yet though. Don't think that works great as a MBC though.

I've been happy with my LR MBC. There's really not much to it (pretty simple device), and the LR kit gives you all the parts you need for the install along with instructions & diagrams.

I've ran about 4 different ones over the years and started with the LBE. The LBE was not as good as some of the newer models I have used. But most of them I have seen no major differences in performace, etc.

Would that be a bad MBC to pick up?

I currently have an LBE that I haven't put on. Could I use that with Vitesse AFM chip? Or would it be better to use a real MBC?

Use a real MBC, black **** controller. Depending on how soon you will be doing this, I might be pulling the one off my car that you can have cheap.

Not really soon. As I am just piecing bits together. Last one is a MBC and the new piece of cat part of the exhaust, then I should be ready.

I use the Lindsey MBC no issues, althought the Lindsey looks an awful lot like the turbonetics, just saying.

http://www.controlair.com/regulators/850_860reg.html

If you just want to buy one and you want it in the correct range (0-30psi) for cheap then find your local distributer and ask them if they have one/can order one. I was quoted ~$20 a few months back.

You can also get a black **** from Lowes/Home depot, but these are usually in the 0-150psi range. The difference is how many turns it takes to get to your desired boost setting. You get much greater resolution with the proper valve.

5-30psi

They are made by Norgren. I have had both a relief valve and pressure regulator and ran them in the past and as I said above, no noticable differences. Also used them in line with each other as in this write up:

Most of those boost controllers are all the same brand. i cannot remember the name but it's usually on the sticker under it. And they're very good. Back in Australia 90% use the Turbo Smart manual boost controllers.

Unless you are going to change pressure when you are driving (a very bad idea), the Lindsey Boost enhancer can be calibrated to boost where you want it. Not terribly accurate.

I have an MBE (Lindsey) mounted under the hood because you don't need a wrench to change pressure.
