Radiator Removal: Top or Bottom?

Hey guys,
Did some searching, but couldn't find anything on radiator removal. It seems the severe heat in the midwest brought mine to the breaking point -- it's seeping at the plastic/aluminum unions.
I removed the A/C condensor easily from beneath, and it appears that the radiator might be the same way.
Can anyone tell me for sure if it needs to come out the bottom, or top?
Thanks!

If it's a turbo, it's going to come out the bottom. Don't know about NA's.
It was a pretty straight forward proceedure. Make sure you take the fan assembly off first though, otherwise I don't think it'll come out.

Do you have a radiator leak as well? When ever I can get the cash together for the radatior I'll have to go through this proceedure as well. From everything I have read it really is not that hard.
Good luck...
And yes it comes out the bottom.

i took out my fans last month, it was a bitch to get the fans down as it was stuck on the oil cooler oil line, so i angled it a bit and pulled hard down but it would not budge, so i bent the thin metal coolant catch pan under the radiator down and towards the front bumper and that cleared enough room to pull the cooling fans out from the bottom, after it was replaced the metal pan easily bent back into perfect shape and position, so i guess the radiator will come out from below easy after the cooling fan assembly is removed 1st, look out for the stubborn oil line from the external oil cooler in the bumper, that oil line is 1 inch thick and cant be moved out to the side at all and undoing that line will cause you an oil change an oil mess and new seals for reinstall thus i bent the bottom radiator catch pan, ok hope that works out ok, ps mine is a turbo 944

When I dropped mine, I unbolted the oil cooler so I could get a bit more wiggle room. It also helps to take off the bottom radiator support to remove the fans, even if the radiator isn't being removed. When you reinstall it, make sure that the supports line up at the top or you'll swear (and cuss too) that the new radiator grows while you're putting it back up. HTH

Mine has an aftermarket oil & tranny cooler setup, thankfully they were reasonably installed out of the way.
I managed to get it out, but my only bitch is that it sure would be nice if the support plate under the radiator bolted on from the BOTTOM, that way you can remove it and drop the radiator straight out. Ugh.
Instead it took a little bit of shoving and heaving to angle it out from above the support. I'm gonna have fun getting those rubber spacers back into the right position already, I can tell. Yuck.
Having the support drop after removing the 4 allen bolts would help reassembly, too. Though I can imagine it would suck to have the radiator loose, should those bolts come out... but sheesh!
Other than that, It was a breeze.
My new rad should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
And yeah, it did start leaking, just barely weeping at the seams between the plastic and the aluminum on both sides. I wouldn't worry about it for in town, but I'm planning on heading back to the Midwest again in a couple weeks.
I don't suppose any of you guys have a used A/C condenser you'd be willing to part with?
