manual boost controllers have a much greater tendancy to spike tho...

i've sold my mbc in favor of a blitz dual-sbc (spec-s aka single solinoid)... much cheaper than the avc-r but not as fully-featured. 750cdn = what, 4-500 usd? about average for one...

hi,

The exact curency exchange for 750$ CAN to US is 535.35 US.

But I prefer the HKS model, less gadget. But it' only my opinion.

I have a Tial 46mm and a manual boost controller.

It's rock stable and FAST.

But... if it pleases anyone, I've got a AVC-R (not the one with the fancy display) for sale.

My advice... save the money, and get a good wastegate!

i've never had any problems w/ my lindsey dual-port and an MBC, the spiking was just something i've read about (mainly people w/ stock wastegates as you said).

$533USD is a tad high, I wouldn't pay over 500 for one... but as Tony said, maybe a better-than-stock wastegate might be a better first upgrade... I guess I assumed if you were looking into this you already had one, my bad.

Also... I'm getting ready to part out a complete '86 944 turbo race car.

It's got a Turbonetics RaceGate (not the Delta Gate), and the Apexi AVC-R electronic boost controller on it.

They'll probably go for a decent price if you're interested.

Stay tuned... as there will be a LOT of very cool 944 turbo stuff going up for sale next week :-)

I swear by my AVC-R. It's pretty useless on a stock car, but on a powerful high boost car, it makes a lot of sense.
