Default OT: It's good to be a Finn :)

This year it was a Nordic Final.

Finland - Sweden 6-1

Team Sweden was good, but we played very good third period (5-0 for team Finland)

Check out this Mikael Grandlunds goal from a game against Russia

Minnesota Wild will get this player soon

Congrats!
But Sweden have 8 World Cup gold medals so you're still 6 gold medals behind

Gustaf,
you're absolutely right. we still have long way to go.
Team Sweden have some great young players, like Pääjärvi, which is more or less a Finn... at least what comes to his last name.
If our own team is not at the finals, i am supporting team Sweden if it is playing.

congratulations! However... I went to the USA v Finland Semifinal game at the Olympics last year in Vancouver ... you remember - the one where the USA scored about 6 goals in the first 10 minutes! Well, the Finnish fans were still the biggest partiers at the entire event.

Yes that game was not our teams finest moment. We still managed to win Bronze medals from the Olympics.
But in Finland we have only 60000 registered hockey players, included all men, women & kids. Take for example Greater Tornoto area in Canada where they have more registered junior players....

I wish I'd watched more. That was a spectacular play.
