Default Turbo hotside flange seal - how to remove?

Is there any trick to removing the o-ring flange seal in the turbo hotside outlet pipe? Mine seems permanently stuck in the housing.

Tried a few of the shop picking and prying tools without much luck. Being gentle at this point.....

Thanks.

Heat it with a torch and then it will pop out with little effort.

I just did this today with the two near the wastegate. The first one I picked and pried at (which made it worse), ultimately going to a dremel to cut it and break it out. The second one I heated with a torch and tapped with a screw driver and it popped right out. Surprised the crap out of me.

So yeah, what Brian said.

Thanks guys. Heat and a little bit of prying and it came out.

That was a trick I learned on this board the first time I tried to get a O ring out of the exhaust pipe. Works every time but you do have to get it hot.
