Post Boy did i have fun today!

well early today i shimmed my wastegate and boy was it hard!the previous owner welded on a test pipe,so i couldnt get the wastegate off easily.i had to take off almost all the piping underneith the car.i had to take off the downpipe and test pipe and everything else.i spent the whole day taking the wastegate off (literally) but it was kinda easy putting it back on.well i fixe what i wanted to fix, that was boost leakage @ 15 psi.now the car runs to 120 without a sweat!i must give thanx to clark at clarks-garage.com,because thats where i downloaded the info on how to install wastegate shims and remove the wastegate.whats next?.....my gauges,my air fuel ratio and boost gauge(got it kinda hooked up tho)...fixing your own car is soooo rewarding!!!!!! -wayne

I think I had more problems than even this describes, as I broke off 6 studs/bolts on the wastegate and had to drill/re-tap them all.

Almost all of the bolts holding on my W/G were so loose that I had it off in about 20 minutes. The whole exhaust system was one big rattle.
