replaced head gasket, didnt seal!!- help
Just got done with a head rebuild, t belts , bla bla bla-- replaced head gasket with a new wide fire head gasket.... started the motor for about 5 min- and it didnt seem right - pulled the oil to find a beautiful frothy blend - cream- - I torqued the head down correctly, the block and the head are flat....could it be the head gasket?? wide fire??? - any ideas on cleaning out the engine now???
Thanks

You did check the oil filter housing while you were in there, didn't you? The o-ring seals are typically what fail causing the oil coolant mixture. You didn't mention what year you have because there were updates to the o-rings along the way.
You should be able to check the archives for a cleaning solution. I'd consider the rod bearings as well depending upon how long you ran it...
Did your studs torque correctly? Mine actually stretched and caused a lack of clamping force on the first head gasket I did.
Good Luck.

Hmmm, usually a headgasket leak would just cause your coolant to mysteriously disappear. If you've got coolant in your oil, it's probably the oil-filter/oil-cooler housing gaskets.
