Post clunk from transmission, a/c a bit flakey

hi all,

i get a faint 'clunk' noise from my transmission sometimes when i shift from 2nd to 3rd, and very occasionally from 3rd to 4th. it's not when i disengage or engage the clutch, it's when i actually shift the gear stick. is this normal? it is very faint, and i haven't noticed any other problems.

also my a/c seems to be a bit intermittent - it works if i haven't used it that day, but if i have, then stop the car and start it again, then the a/c won't fire up (it seems to not come on, ie no change in rpm either). then it starts working again, after a random interval (usually a half-hour or more)...any ideas?

G'day Facboy!
Check your exhaust hangers. My 944S did the same thing and I was certain it was the Trans mount. Not so! It was just the exhaust hanger.
May your problem be so simple!
Good luck!!!

Jim (who has a jar of 28 year old Vegimite in the fridge!)(Seriously!!!)
