Post How to prepare lifters for reinstall?

I think my lifters may have drained some oil during the last week that they have been out of the head.

Does anyone know of any special procedures prior to reinstalling? or do I just throw them back in?

Thanks,
Matt

Get a syringe and inject oil into the feed hole on the side until it flows out with no bubbles. Then, toss them in with a touch of moly grease to hold them in place and lubricate for run in.

I put some molly grease around the lifter before inserting them back into the camshaft assembly. Also helps the lifter stay in the assembly.
