Apexi AVC-R owners
Quick question:
When you bought the boost controller, did it come with a wiring harness or do you have to buy the wiring harness separately?
what about the pressure sensor?
I see that some places sell these separately.
Thanks!

Just got one from Lightening Motorsports $480. It came complete including the pressure sensor.
Below is their description. I have not installed it yet. A lot of neat features (injector pulse monitoring ).
A'pexi AVC-R
The Apexi AVC-R is an advanced electronic boost controller that allows highly flexible boost control with revolutionary new functions; Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). The Super AVC-R is the premium closed-loop electronic boost controller on the market. The AVC-R allows flexible control over virtually every aspect of boost control and adds new innovative functions such as injector pulse monitoring and gear specific boost control. Some key functions include: RPM-based boost and solenoid duty cycle control, scramble boost, self learning mode, 2D ghost map trace mode, analog display mode, real time replay and peak hold data modes. The AVC-R utilizes an ultra-fast microprocessor and a high quality solenoid valve to control boost. The result is ultra-fast response and accurate, stable boost control.
I plan to mount the head unit in the center console if possible.

Tazman,
Bummer about the pulse monitoring.
I don't want to install the head unit under the radio. Where I hope to install it is under the lid where you rest your arm.
Open the lid to play, close for stealth. Who has cassette's anymore?

Any ideas about why the injector duty doesn't work?
What about scramble boost? Doesn't this work with the injector duty cycly?
Perhaps a call to APEXi can help us find out how to get the injector duty cycle to work would help.

Bill, The head unit fits in there nicely. Check out the second page of pictures in my photo gallery. The link is in my signature. Mine also came with everything and I got it from

No problem just passing on what was sent to me.
About the injector monitoring I think you would need sequential firing injectors to have it work. I guess Apexi might be able to help in some way?
The scramble is a change in your boost pressure for a period of time, you select the settings you want.

The issue is that the AVC-R is expecting to tap into a positive trigger on the injector harness while the Bosch DME uses a negative trigger to fire the injectors. We're working on an inverter circuit...

Rob, Your car is almost identical to my own cosmetic design! Im curious about your sub, is it an eclipse series? If so, do you enjoy the sound quality? I would enjoy it if I could talk to you sometime about your car setup and stereo setup?
