go with a guru chip set.....or maybe a membership to pca(i think like $80)And some track time....it will give your husband the chance to really find out about what the car is capable of and what its not.It also gives him the chance to get together with other 951 er's and that is also a very good thing.Hope everything goes well......and can i just say he is one lucky guy.I wish my gf....would do the same thing.....if i give you her number would you please call her up and tell her to get with the program!

I'm going to have to agree with keith on this one... the best investment you can make in going faster is in yourself. $500 should buy a helmet, PCA membership (for two) and a driving school (for one). If there's any left over, you can pay for some AutoX time for him to practice his skills.

Tough choice between Guru chips and driving school. I'd say go woth the driving school, let him find out what he can really do in the car then start adding horsepower. By the way, where in CO are you?

Sounds like Colorado should have a Porsche Get together. Never been to one. Would be really cool.

I wish my wife would buy something for my car. I've never even received a hat for Christmas. I guess I'll just have to settle for Her allowing me to buy stuff.

It's a tough choice. Chips or Driving Education school. I'd lean towards the DE if you REALLY want to make him happy. He'll have a silly grin on his face for a week. And, you can do it too! Lots of ladies are out there. And they're fast!

Golden Gate Region at Laguna Seca .... Hmmmm
The only problem is if you both get hooked, it could get expensive. But Hey, you'll never know unless you try it.

The latest PCA mag has an article on a few of them.

sm's girlfriend actually contacted me and bought him a GURU Chip Upgrade for Christmas!!! I still have her email address too, if they ever break up, she's MINE !!! I might actually consider marrying a chic who buys her guy Porsche stuff... No wait. My wife hasn't even been born yet...

My fiance bought me new Porsche floor mats and a leather console cover for Christmas.

I think I'm getting new axles for my birthday. Woohoo!
