Post Cold weather=HP

I was reading Matt's post on the other board about the cold and more power, it's 32 here in the Blue Ridge/Smokies Mtns. tonight, just like other winters my car will litterly scare the **** out of me with the power that is on tap when the temp drops. I want that power all the time without freezing my *** off. I don't know how some of you guys put up your turbo's in the winter, that's the best time to drive it (without snow)!

One way to get sort of close to the cold weather is to play with the intake charge system. Bigger/better intercooler, setting up a water spray system on the intercooler, or water inject into the intake airstream.

When water makes the phase change from liquid to steam it soaks up an amazing amount of heat. Only 1 calorie to move a gram of water 1 degree C, but 539 calories to move that water to vapor.

Here is an article for you to read on improving intercooler:

Don't have a handy link for injecting into the intake airstream.
