Post crossover pipe red hot

I had my 86 951 dyno'd yesterday @ 121 hp. My boost is reading approx 6 psi. I've checked almost everyting the manual says to check with no luck. On the last pull the mechanic noticed the crossover pipe was glowing red hot. He also said the exhaust felt abnormally hot for a turbo car. He thinks I could have a collasped inner wall of the crossover pipe or some other exhaust restriction. Has anyone else ever dealt with this?

Collapsed/clogged catalytic converters are common. It's worth checking out..
