Small orange vacuum line - where does it go?
I was checking/securing the various vacuum lines on my '87 951 and discovered one that was not connected to anything.
The line in question is a small-diameter hard plastic line, orange in color, and 8-10" or so in length. It ties into a tee from another line that's secured along the top of the firewall, and drops down roughly in the area of the cam cover.
The line this ties into goes to the vacuum canister in the battery compartment, and I don't know where the other end goes.
Can anyone help identify what this orange line should connect to?
Thanks
Ron

Ron,
I beleive it goes to a small(no kidding) nipple on the firewall more or less adjacent to where the ac lines pass through. Maybe it's closer to the heater lines, but it's there nonetheless.
Good luck.

Thanks Russ. I'll give it a look later. Do you happen to know what this line is for?
After seeing the vast spaghetti of tubes under the hood I feel like I should just be happy to know where they go, but knowing more about how the system functions would be a nice bonus!
Thanks again.
