Post Knocking in door

hi all,

i have a faint knocking coming from my driver's side door (RHD 952) which is driving me nuts. It seems to occur when I hit slight undulations in the road, or sometimes when braking or accelerating. just wondering if there's anything in the door that tends to come loose over time. or am i reduced to tearing it apart to find out?

cheers,

chris.

Faint knocking? Maybe a mouse wanting you to open the door!

Kidding aside, might be a loose window channel.

I had a similiar problem. There is a part on the door that prevents the door from opening too far. It's bolted to the inside of the door and attaches to the body. Mine had broken the arm and then fell off into the door. I just took the panel off and searched around till i pulled it out.

You could first visually check the door and see if this part's broken. Or you could just reach into the door and see if you find any loose parts.

Good luck!

hmm...no i'm pretty sure that that little arm is still intact, but i'll take a look. it does seem to go away when the window is down, but then it's kinda hard to tell with the wind noise and all
