Question Cam belt tensioner - how to adjust?

I am trying to loosen the cam belt tension, on my 87 951, but the manual has the old style tensioner (offset gear with a bolt through it) My 951 seems to have a traingular piece with a couple of bolts and the gear at the end of it. Is this a spring loaded tensioner? How do I adjust it?

Thanks,
R.B.

- Bring the engine to TDC on number 1 cylinder.
- Loosen the two 13mm nuts on the spring tensioner (the pivot and lock).
- Put your fingers on the belt between the cam gear and waterpump and push on the belt to make the spring tensioner move back and forth a few times.
- Torque the 13mm nuts to specification (15 ft-lb as I recall, but you'd better check).

That's it.

The spring tensioners are so stiff I usually use some sort of pry bar to get it to move. Tom, if you are able to move it with your hands then you are as strong as superman;^)

Thanks for help. I did figure it out finally and got the belt off. Now I just need my hydraulic lifter to come in and I can put her together again.
