I am having trouble getting my rack apart. dam nut with the 2 cuts at each end.
In the past some said you can get a rebuilt rack for under 500 with lifetime warranty. if someone can let me know who thats from would be great

I just got a reman PS rack assy for my 89 951 from AutoZone for 199.99 + 143.00 core charge, which is refunded when core is returned. It has a limited lifetime warranty.

+1 on Autozone. Make sure you have new bellows on hand. And mine didn't come with tie rods. Some older posts mention their racks came with them.

The split nut can be removed using a spanner wrench, or a drift and a hammer.

Yup, while the autozone rack is entirely spray painted black, it is cheap, and does have a limited lifetime warranty.

in the Zone Autozone. the good thing with them is you can get a rack anywhere as long as there is an autozone. as far as quality i do not know. But i know listers here as used them before.

I dont think we have autozone in canada. we do have partsource but they want 750 and only 2 year warranty.

ebay has for 250 with lifetime and they do have a store front been in business since 1977. maybe this is a better option for me

It looks good to me. The only down side would be if you had to file for a warranty claim. It might be a bit more of a hassle but for the price, it looks pretty good.

yup there is but I am looking at 718cnd plus 250 core. and warranty is only 1 year

Good point....the Autozone rack does not come with new boots or tie rods. Still a good deal. Too bad none in CA, but like another said, you could order it online.

yup going to order online. not from the link i posted up above i called 2 of there numbers and email no reply which one can now see what it would be like when calling if problem with rack . found another guy who has web site and store front and replied to me asap. he is on ebay as well 20 bucks more but still worth it
